Sand the colour of a faded rose, at the far south-eastern corner of Lombok.
Pantai Tangsi sits on the Ekas peninsula, in the corner of Lombok that almost nobody drives to. The sand really is pink — crushed red coral worked through the white — and it reads strongest at high tide, in the softer light of the morning or the late afternoon.
There is snorkelling straight off the beach, cliffs and small caves at either end to poke around in, and a boat out to the islets offshore if you want one. Facilities are thin: a few warungs, no lifeguard, patchy phone signal.
Good to know. A long drive to the far south-east, so a full day out. Bring water and shoes you can walk on coral in. The pink is a soft blush in real life — not the saturated version that circulates online.
