A sanctuary for
returning to yourself
Spa · Sauna · Ice bath · Magnesium · Red light
Most island spas offer a massage and call it wellness. Soma Vita is built around recovery and longevity — and the sequence matters as much as the treatment.
Step inside — eighteen rooms across Soma Vita, from the lobby to the sauna, ice bath and magnesium jacuzzi. Drag to look around; tap a doorway to walk through.
Five pillars of longevity
Everything on the menu sits under one of these. If it does not, we do not offer it.
Movement
Not a bootcamp. Enough daily movement that your body remembers what it is for.
Nourishment
Whole food from the KOHO kitchen, protein you can actually feel, and no juice-cleanse theatre.
Recovery
Heat, cold, minerals and light — the part most people skip, and the part that works.
Sleep
Everything here is arranged so you sleep better by the second night.
Connection
Shared sessions, quiet corners, and staff who learn your name on day one.
Heat. Cold.
Minerals. Light.
Six modalities under one roof, and — more usefully — a recommended order to take them in.
Ice Bath
Cold immersion for recovery and mental clarity. Two to three minutes is plenty — the benefit is not proportional to the suffering.
2–3 minSauna
Heat stimulates circulation and, done regularly, is associated with cardiovascular benefit. It is also the fastest way to stop thinking about your inbox.
15–20 minMagnesium Jacuzzi
A mineral-rich soak. Magnesium absorbed through the skin supports muscle relaxation and, for most people, noticeably deeper sleep.
30 minRed Light Therapy
Gili Air’s first red light studio. Red and near-infrared wavelengths for skin, joints and post-sun recovery. You sit still. That is the whole protocol.
12–20 minIV & Vitamin Drips
Hydration, vitamin C, B-complex and glutathione, administered by a qualified nurse. Booked a day ahead, taken lying down, usually the morning after a long flight.
45 minBreathwork
Guided sessions in the open pavilion, most mornings. Down-regulating rather than dramatic — you leave calm, not lightheaded.
60 minSkilled hands,
unhurried hours
Our own blend of Balinese and Sasak technique — firm through the back and shoulders, slow everywhere else. The one to book if you book only one.
Full body · medium to firm pressureFor divers, surfers and anyone who has just spent fourteen hours in economy. Genuinely deep, and worked around whatever hurts.
Targeted · firm pressureTwo therapists, one sequence, mirrored. Disorienting for the first minute and very hard to think during, which is rather the point.
Full body · two therapistsThree days. Five. Seven.
Downstairs from
your room
Soma Vita is the wellness house at The KOHO Air Hotel, which means a kitchen that will cook to a plan, 28 quiet rooms a short walk away, and three pools for when you have had enough of being improved.
You do not have to be staying with us. Island visitors and day guests are just as welcome — hotel guests simply get first call on the diary.
