Rice Terraces, Waterfall & Monkey Forest

Tetebatu sits on the southern slope of Rinjani in the middle of the rice. You walk between the terraces with someone who farms them, past tobacco drying barns and irrigation channels that have run the same way for generations.

The walk takes in a waterfall in the forest above the village and the monkey forest on the way back. Slow, green, and the best way to understand what Lombok is actually like away from the coast.
